"The Art of Power." A Conversation with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Litman

Talking San Diego is pleased to announce that Nancy Pelosi, the first woman to hold the office of Speaker of the House, will come to San Diego this Fall for a conversation with Harry Litman anchored in her new book, The Art of Power. In it, Pelosi reflects on her role in crafting pivotal legislation, including the Affordable Care Act and the American Rescue Plan, while also reflecting on the January 6th Capitol attack and the power dynamics with the White House, Senate, and other political entities during her tenure as Speaker. With a 37-year career representing San Francisco in Congress and recent honors, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Pelosi’s conversation promises an insightful exploration of the high-stakes drama in American politics and her lasting impact.

San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria will also join this event to introduce the speakers.
